SET UP A MUST:

1. After you install the *TMOUSA HD2 MultiMedia SuperNova Hi-Performance Enhancement ROM Plus+7.7.7 X7 SpbTV2* to your TMOUSA HD2, go to the LeoCpuSpeed control app and set the CPU SPEED to 998 MHz, *DISABLE AUTOSCALING* [Note: This is not overclocking your HD2 and I recommend that you do not overclock your HD2, idle speed will be around 540 MHz].... Before Installing the Ant-Freeze Package on Yout T-Mobile USA HD2 do [3] THREE soft resets, after you have completed the three soft resets, install the Anti-Freeze software package, run the anti-freeze app tool "cleanRAM Config/CleanRAM" and select "Level 2 - Quality Purge", tap on "Clean Now" in the lower left corner [It's Recommened To Run "CleanRAM" 3 times a day or more] ....

5. Go to Options> Settings> Select Page> DirectDraw> (Overlay format should say Auto) Check Mark "Use blitting instead of overlay", Check mark, "Use device stretching for blitting", tap on OK...

6. Go to Options> Settings> Select Page> File Associations> and Check Mark ALL THE BLOCKS, tap OK in the lower left corner, exit the player, soft reset your TP2.... When your device comes back up, you can play the videos now....

BEST VIDEO SETTINGS FOR THE ABOVE TCPMP HD2 WVGA VERSION BY WILDCOPPER:

Optional, I recommend now going to the "Colors" menu page and move "Brightness" one notch to the right, and "Contrast" one notch to the left from the default settings. That will optimize the brightness of movies for the HD2 screen. The default settings are a bit too dark in my opinion, now that's up to you and your personal taste too of course

PS2: Another secret for smooth video playback is to check your task manager before you watch a video, and close every unneeded running program. That advice is in my opinion also valuable for daily usage of the HD2, regularly nuking unused applications can help optimize the speed of your mobile phone.

PS3: The HD2 has a lot of RAM compared to other phones.
Sometimes, in "action heavy" scenes, the videos still may stutter - mostly due to poor optimization of TCPMP for the Snapdragon - while most of the time, the decoding is way faster than needed. Sadly, those stutters can ruin movie immersion pretty badly.

The solution - simple - let's use that HD2's RAM!

In "Options / Settings / Buffering", put Normal Buffer Size to "32868", aka 32 Mb. You may want to try other values, but I found that a good balance between too low sizes and high memory consumption. This way you will have plenty of space to "prebuffer/predecode" videos so that when a "heavy" scene comes, it will already have several seconds of video prebuffered and it will not slow down overall playback. The idea is to have a buffer big enough so that even when decoding temporary drops under 100% speed, there will be enough video pre-decoded so that the viewer doesn't notice it.

Just a reminder, if you are going to play the Transformer videos that comes on the HD2, please transfer them to your SD Card/video folder first, because the on board HTC video player will try to play it at the same time, which is a no, no, this may cause the video to freeze or play erratic..... Another thing, always clean your HD2 before and after playing any video/audio files for best results, this will keep your HD2 running smooth as silk.... It's also better to install the "Clean/RAM Software Package on your HD2 located at the bottom of post # 2, bring your popcorn......

why hate? i barely have to install any cabs on this rom at all... if you upgrade to wvd 1.5, this rom is the only one that will stream via tcpmp, so you can save vids... im fairly new to the game, but if i didnt know any better, id be scared away by your haterism! these guys do this for little to nothing, so be thankful. i know i am. i went long enough without my tcpmp/wvd and im glad that "tech",aka dr sparks is back in effect! thanks for the great rom!

Some things are neccessary with 6.5 ROM, example like IE Toggle software, it's a must, all mobile website will still not work with the IE6 mobile web browser... Besides the IE toggle software, everything else you install it i you want too.
